Closet Cleanse for Spring...

The closet cleanse has always been a very popular service that I offer to my clients. Every season, they ponder what to keep , what to store, and what to give away-that's where I come in! I always suggest cleaning out people's closets twice a year and a little BEFORE the season starts (now is the perfect time!) so that you are cleansed of the previous season and ready to move into the new season.

With Spring here now, although the weather outside is telling us otherwise, it is important to take notes of the pieces you feel may update your wardrobe while doing your cleaning. A lot of my clients and friends, for example, always crave accessories to update their looks and there is no better way to do so. I am a HUGE accessories fan as a new bag, earrings, or necklace can make you feel like a new person-and we are women..so anything new, pretty, and fun excites us :) !

Recently, as you can see above, I cleaned out my closet that was seriously getting out of hand! Blouses were mixed in with dresses and things were just getting so disorganized. Special thanks to my friend Ania, who always loves playing in my closet, because she told me she was going to lock me in my apartment until I had this done (no joke!). For the first time ever, I hung plastic labels in front of the category of clothing so that things would not get messy anymore and amazingly enough, this has helped me so! If my friends rummage through my closet, they know exactly where to put things back and I am personally no longer searching for things where they shouldn't be. I highly recommend organizing this way! You can get the label plastic separators I used at The Container Store (my obsession!).

If anyone has any questions regarding a closet cleanse, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'd love to hear from you! :)

FORD Beauty Suite Journal

Hi Everyone!

For the past 2 days, FORD artists have been working the FORD Fashion Week Beauty Suite, pampering some of the most influential people in the world of fashion, glamour, and NYC. FORD decided to write a newsletter for the event (this is FORDS 2nd Fashion Week Beauty Suite) so that all the attendees could get to know the FORD artists on a more personal level, while getting their nails, makeup, and hair done. When my agent called and told me that a photo from a shoot I styled made the cover of the newsletter, I nearly jumped out of my seat! If that wasn't nearly enough, Ezra, an amazing photographer/friend I worked with on the shoot was featured in the article with all the photos I styled splashed onto the next page (see above!).

Each and every artist at FORD is super talented and I am SO honored to be part of such a strong team of passionate people.  To have made the cover being the newest member to the Fashion Stylist team, I couldn't be more appreciative to my agents at FORD for believing in me since day 1. So, what's next? Only the sky is the limit, right?

makeup makeover

my old ways...

my new ways...

The New Year calls for new ways of simplifying your life! I for one, as much as a clotheshorse, am also a makeup junkie at heart! I can spend hours upon hours in  Sephora spending an obscene fortune  just to get home and think "did I really need all of this!?" I mean, I'd be lying if I said walking into Sephora or the  makeup section of Bergdorfs, Barneys, and Saks did not give give me heart palpitations! Every girl has been there, done that-and you know it! So when we have these moments of weakness and we will tell ourselves we will eventually wear what we bought, storing makeup properly will and CAN save you so much time when getting all dolled up.

The hanging cosmetic bags I used to believe were the easiest ways to view and store my makeup...until I had no where to hang any of them anymore (I am embarrassed to say that I left 2 out-all filled with makeup) and all my new purchases were overflowing out of their assigned pouches and it was just getting to be a mess! Aside from that, to dig around in the bags were getting time consuming on my time crunch schedule and frustrating to say the least!

VOILA! CHANGE!
Since I am a neat freak, the Container Store has always been my go-to for any of my household storage needs.  The boxes above come in so many different sizes, colors, and shapes so you can customize to your liking. You can layer as many boxes as you like and everything gets stored neatly and in place.

An added bonus to what will be your new set up: Easy cleaning! Unlike the hanging bags which you may need to throw out every so often, these plastic containers are easy to wipe down and will stand the wear and tear of the makeup obsession!

Ask Lindsi!

Hi Lindsi-
I came across your blog and was wondering... where you get all of your beautiful diamond jewelry (drop earrings etc)? I live in NYC and am looking for a simple everyday diamond necklace. Any suggestions on where to look or what designers to shop? Thanks!

-Stephanie

Hi Stephanie!
Thank you so much for your email and thank you for your compliment :) Obviously us gals just can't get enough of jewelry, fun/costume or real! I mean, lets be honest...it's in our blood for diamonds to be a girls best friend, right!?  Wearing jewelry is definitely always a way for me to personally make a bold, yet sexy statement-and all women should have their go-to jewelry essentials. One of them being your request, the "everyday diamond necklace".

Although I live in NYC, I am always traveling back and fourth when it comes to jewelry because I am a loyal customer of London Jewelers in the Americana in Manhasset. They have the most beautiful selections of pretty much any high end brand you can think of (Cartier, Van Cleef, Rolex, Chopard, etc...), as well as selections of brands with gorgeous pieces in more affordable price points-all you would have to do is tell them what you are looking for! I get everything from earrings to watches here! They can custom make you a piece you are envisioning in your head or just help you around the store to find you exactly what you are looking for. Their customer service is top notch and each and every sales associate is as skillful and passionate about what they do than the next. No request is too small for London Jewelers. They are always willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy and that is why I will forever be loyal to them. Can't make it to Long Island? London Jewelers now has an e-commerce site! But I must warn you...that "add to cart" REALLY may become addicting. It is hard not to want everything they carry with the click of a button! ;)

*Other London Jewelers stores are located in Wheatley Plaza, Glen Cove, South Hampton, and East Hampton*

I HEART LONDON JEWELERS!

I hope this was helpful Stephanie!

Palm Beach Wedding!

This past weekend, I went to such a beautiful wedding at The Breakers in Palm Beach Florida! I LOVED MY PHILLIP LIM DRESS! So comfortable and the color was just so gorgeous (color "Peony" to be exact-also my most favorite flower!) and the top was delicately and precisely trimmed with floral appliques. Leave it to Mr. Lim! His clothes always make me feel pretty.

Congrats to Gregg and Blake Solomon!! Such an amazing wedding!!
