Fashion Show Obsession of the Week! CHANEL!

Photos courtesy of: Style.com

Ohhh Karl Lagerfeld you have done it again! As Chanel's Spring 2010 Couture Collection hit the Paris runways, there is no doubt in my mind that people were feeling the silver fever! The whimsical runway graced "Ice Princess meets modern day Minnie Mouse" models in silver sheer tights, huge bowed hair, and shiny, wet looking silver nail polish. Without even a gold button, stripes, black, or brown in the entire collection, this is a first for Lagerfeld. With beautiful pastel hued suits and dresses, chiffon that looked like frosting, and "liquid silk" draped dresses, this collection proves that no matter what color Mr. Lagerfeld uses or doesn't use, his collections can still make anyone fall head over heels in love.
With a collection that looks good enough to eat than a Magnolia cupcake, I am pretty sure I am going to be dreaming in Chanel for the next few nights..

Last night, as Hollywood graced the Red Carpet for the first time in 2010, fashionistas all over the world glued their eyes to their TV's in order to see the A-Lister "fashion show". With tons of black in the mix, these five looks each took my breath away for more reasons than just their striking colors. With sweeping tulle, quiet lace, and beaded embellishment, each dress individually exuded confidence, sex appeal, and class-all of which these beautiful ladies have. From top: Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture (umm HEART PALPS!), Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior, Chloe Sevigny in Valentino, Emily Blunt in custom Dolce and Gabbana, and Heidi Klum in Roberto Cavalli.

Find Your Inner Fashionista

“I can never wear that, I can’t pull it off.” I cannot begin to tell you how many people say this day to day. Whether it be my friends or my clients, this is a concern that most people have when shopping. They are scared to venture out into the new fashion aisles, styles, and colors. Write this on a post-it and let it stick to your mind that fashion is there for you to play with and EXPLORE with. Its what makes you the unique, special individual that you are. You will realize that allowing yourself to try new things can be exhilarating as well as fulfilling-once you find that new cut of jeans you never thought you could wear or try a new color you never thought would look good on you, you will be open and excited to try another new thing. You never know UNLESS YOU TRY (as cliché as that may sound) and this saying totally applies to fashion. So, the next time you decide to quickly judge a piece of merchandise just remember, clothes have feelings too ;)

WELCOME TO LINDSI LANE'S BLOG!

Hi!

My name is Lindsi and I am a Fashion Stylist and Private Client Personal Shopper. To my friends and family however, they have always thought of me as a fashion personality; an honest, funny, sassy girl who has a lot to say about the how-to’s and don’t do’s in the fashion world.

When I realized that I was the “go to” gal for fashion advice, it became apparent that I needed my own personal playground to share my fashion knowledge and what has inspired me day to day with the people around me.

I hope that my fashion obsessed mind can inspire you as much as being in this industry has inspired me.

I would like to thank my family and my best friends who always told me that I had what it takes. You know who you are…
