TV's hottest starlets walked the red carpet last night at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards! As I marveled at all the amazing clothing  worn, I was literally glued the tube taking notes on the pieces that left me gasping for air! Although I loved others as well,  these 5 talented ladies stood out to me as the best dressed out there, proving that TV surely does a body good!

1. Maria Menounos looked STUNNING in this Ralph and Russo Swarovski crystal gown! The color, the detail, and the cut were all breathtakingly incredible! I love that she wore her hair up to accentuate her flawless back, which was fully exposed down to right above her bottom. SO HOT!

2. Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries". Need I say more!? Every guy tuned in last night was probably wishing they were a character on her show just so they can pretend to bite her! She is so beyond beautiful and this Zuhair Murad dress only accentuated that, which I loved! Pulling her hair back showed confidence and let her gown steal the show! The cream colored floral silk creation fit her like a glove and looked as radiant on her as she did on the red carpet!

3. Lea Michele, the birthday girl, totally vamped it up with a smokey eye and an Oscar de la Renta navy organza tulle gown-AND WOW! This was the prettiest I have ever seen the Glee star look! She was so excited about being there and to be nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, that her attitude just made her look all the more beautiful! Her body was perfectly accentuated and the fact that her bangs were blown out in a middle part allowed her to look more innocent and whimsical than harsh and overdone. Personally, I wish she would wear her hair like this more often-not such a big fan of her with bangs. But last night, she was singing one fine tune. Happy Birthday Lea Michele!

4. Claire Danes looked like a fresh faced natural beauty in her Armani Privé gown. Letting the gown do the talking, Danes stuck to minimal jewelry and a bouncy blowout. Taking home an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for "Temple Grandin", she surely felt inside the way she looked on the outside-INCREDIBLE!

5. Heidi Klum is no stranger to being fashionable and last night she proved to be one hot mama in a barely there Marchesa mini! It was honestly INSANITY! I could not take my eyes off this dress...and her gams! When the camera's zoomed into it, I had to pause on Tivo, then rewind, and repeat because I refused to miss one detail. The beading, the corset, the rosettes OH MY! Talk about heart palps! One thing I was was shocked about though was exactly how short it was. I mean, if anyone can wear it, it's her but...really? I just remember thinking at one point that there may be be a "Justin Timberlake/ Janet Jackson" mishap but below the belt! phew that that didn't happen! ;)

Other hot actress's that topped my list were:
1. Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward (she looked uhh-mazing- so slim, and chic!!)
2. Kim Kardashian in Marchesa (that of a Grecian Goddess)
3. Jewel in Zuhair Murad (so tasteful and figure flattering)

My Style Slip-Up choice:

January Jones. Uy. This one had me in a massive question mark moment. And that was "WHAT WAS SHE THINKING!?"

Rain Rain (Never) Go Away!

Photos courtesy of: Style.com

Mother Nature is surely having rain fever the past couple of days- and I don't blame her! Its about time for a splash down after all this humidity and heat! Usually when it rains, I find myself wanting to cozy up under the covers and watch a movie and...oh yea, eat! But with all the new and amazing rain boots out this Fall, its hard to not want to go outside and get excited to transition into the cooler seasons. Many designers for their Fall 2010 runway shows, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Fendi, and Chanel (above), have interpreted their versions of the old classic, now allowing us ladies to look our best even in a wet mess. I am so excited that designers have finally realized that we don't want to look sluggish in the rain, even though we may feel that way. Now, if we have business meetings to get to and its raining, we can just throw on one great boot without carrying another pair of shoes to change into. So convenient!
This is for sure a turning point in the fashion world for the rain boot...one that  will hopefully continue to flourish and keep us "puddle-chic"!

Now...if we can all just convince designers to make more rain coats with hoods...hmmm...

*Note: Beware of the heaviness of rain! Not all rain boots can withhold the same amount of rain. Most rain boots are waterproof  because they are all rubber! However, remember..."designer interpretations" of the rain boot does not necessarily mean they're waterproof.  Some may be "water resistant", which can take the rain but not a heavy amount.  So examine the boots and ask questions to your lovely shoe sales associate  before purchasing one of these fab Fall trends! I promise the rain will never make you feel prettier this season!*

Nina Garcia's Look Book!

"What do I wear!?"
Ahhh the dreaded question that races through all of our girly, image obsessed minds all day!  The best part and probably the most ironic part is...we don't necessarily even realize we ask it anymore! This question has totally become a part of our lives and whoever we ask that question to, even our boyfriends, they have come to except it! Literally this question drives us SO mad to the point that we may plan our outfits days, weeks, or even months before a major event! Our closets almost every time end up in shambles and our thought bubbles are now filled with pretty images of clothing and no longer words! Girls, we have all been there-and it aint pretty!

Who better to ask this question than Nina Garcia? She is the Fashion Director of Marie Claire Magazine, a judge on the hit show Project Runway, and the author of  New York Times Bestsellers. In other words she is Superwoman to the 10th power! This time, Garcia has truly done it again in her 4th book, Nina Garcia's Look Book: What to Wear for Every Occasion.

It has recently hit stores but when a personally signed copy from Nina was sent to my apartment the other day, I nearly had a fashion panic attack! The first thing I thought about was how excited I was from her personal, sweet note. The second thing that came to mind was how touching it was for her to think of me and it was a treat that made my entire week...actually it was pretty much everything! And the third thing that came to mind were all my amazing girlfriends and ladies out there! EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO OWN THIS BOOK!

Ok so here's the 411...COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!  From chapters of work, dating, day, night, holidays, life events, weddings, and dream travel, Nina has got you covered from head to toe for almost every occasion!  I don't want to give away too much but from "What to Wear When You Meet Your New Boyfriends Friends" to "What to Wear to a Wine Tasting" this book is so beyond brilliant! Along with the helpful fashion voice of Nina come the remarkable illustrations by Ruben Toledo! I honestly wanted to make a collage out of all the pretty images and hang them on the wall of my apartment-I would have the instinct to do that! Think of this book as your "go to guide" for that one specific question and I promise you...your life will be changed, simplified, and as equally glamourous!

At the end of the day, females are who they are by nature. It's not our fault that we always want to look our best, right?  So, let Nina Garcia lead the way and take away the stress of dress...in obviously extremely high and gorgeous shoes ;)

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR MAC!

Photos courtesy of: Mac cosmetics

Any makeup lover knows that MAC cosmetics has done countless collaborations with huge celebs! But now, any fashion loving or Disney girl can enjoy the art of fashion and youth in a makeup form! Alice + Olivia's  designer, Stacey Bendet Eisner, has had her MAC line out in stores now since July 8th taking a bold, bright, and fun approach to a summer look. With turquoise, pink, and purple hues, this is the perfect way to stand out from the rest of 'em...and pleasantly transition into Fall!

MAC for Rodarte, which has stirred up much controversy lately because a nail polish in the line was named "Juarez", a very dangerous city in Mexico where women have been brutally murdered and exploited, has very much insulted and appalled many women, and with good riddance! The colors of the line are pale or burgundy red, some believe to compare to blood or ghosts. Obviously Rodarte's intentions were not of that to insult anyone and are taking these matters very seriously. You can see more about this and the status of Rodarte's MAC line at the link below:

Set to hit stores on September 30th, the little girl in all of us will be running or should I say skipping to MAC stores! Inspired by the Disney villian's we all know and love (but were always scared of) MAC introduces their Venomous Villians Collection! With a killer lineup of Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations, Evil Queen from Snow White, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, MAC now proves that looking this hot has never felt so naughty!

The first night in Marbella with my brother

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in almost 2 weeks!  For my brother, Matt's, Graduation, we took a family trip to Capri and Marbella to celebrate! It was SUCH an amazing vacation filled with beautiful sights, incredible food, and lots of laughs and love! I thought I would post some pics from the trip and share some memories. I had 419 photos so obviously I couldn't post all! I hope you enjoy them!

This was the third time I was in Capri and each time it gets more and more beautiful and more and more yummy. I literally think I had 12 bowls of linguine vongole! We took two breathtaking day trips around the Almalfi Coast and boy was it sensational-such a dream world! I like to call it "Disney Land for adults"!
As for Marbella, it was a first for me and will most definitely not be the last! There is amazing shopping, a crazy insane nightlife that lasts into the wee morning hours, and amazing food, especially the paella!

Coming home from such a long trip is definitely bittersweet, however I am SO EXCITED FOR FALL NOW!! LOVEEE FALL CLOTHES!! ok, now I feel better! Phew.

Ciao!
