Wild for WildFox!

I have officially gone mad for this line!

I can honestly say that the one t-shirt line that season after season I am drooling over is WILDFOX! Since 2007, designers Emily Faulstich and Kimberly Gordon have succeeded in delivering to us a line filled with vintage inspired pieces with a "girly girl meets rocker boyfriend" flair. WILDFOX stands for wearing things that let our inhibitions run wild to say the least! Their oh-so-cool collections exude confidence and sassiness, bringing out the wild child in all of us! Their campaigns are always SO fantastic and über dramatic (in the BEST ways)! Telling fantasy stories through the eye of the wearer, their pieces are meant to compliment any girls wardrobe  and encourage the little day dreamer in all of us to explore with the fun in fashion-and not be afraid to do so!

The photo above are some of my favorite pieces from my own closet, but I am literally dying for all of it! How I usually transition these tees from Summer into Fall is to pair them with:

1.  Cool leather leggings/pants with a chunky sweater or cardigan
2.  Jeans and a cute blazer with an amazing scarf
3. Mini skirt for a casual, but sexy night out on the town.

To check out their entire collection and to read more on Emily and Kimberly, you can visit WILDFOX

Designer Obsession: Marchesa!

Photos courtesy of: style.com

Marchesa! Marchesa! Marchesa!

I honestly can not get enough of designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig! They are designer geniuses to say the least, always transforming a woman's figure into a fabric draped piece of art. Each detail is always precise, each design is always exquisite, and the tailoring is always light years beyond perfection. In my fashion fantasy dream world, I would own every single piece from every single collection...I have had that dream bubble probably 100 plus times already...

This year, their Spring 2011 presentation took place at the Chelsea Art Museum and boy did the models dress to impress! From stunning, over the top dresses to gauzey-lace jumpsuit creations, this collection surely did not disappoint! What is so amazing about Marchesa is that although their designs are über feminine, there is a certain edge to each piece that takes on a unique personality  when worn by individual women. The most important requirement? Confidence ladies!

For all the Marchesa devotees out there, you can now get the luminous glow of their collections on your skin with their new makeup line for Le Métier de Beauté sold at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus! ooo la la!

Notorious and Notable: 20th Century Women of Style

On Monday, September 13th, I attended the private cocktail party viewing for the Notorious & Notable 20th Century Women of Style exhibition which took place at The Museum of the City of New York. I took along one of my best friends Nikki  Cohen as I know she loves fashion and the arts just as much as me. Nikki and I walked through the short exhibit that consisted of dresses and jewelry worn by some of the most recognized women of their time such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis, Annette de la Renta, Bette Midler, and Barbara Walters.
This exhibit showed how fashion has changed tremendously over the years but how many trends come back around as well. There must have been at least 5 dresses Nikki and I said we wanted to wear to upcoming events-then walked away frowning that we couldn't!
I know I posted mostly all the pictures, but to see all the details of the garments in person is truly a whole new experience that I highly recommend to any person who appreciates fashion in its true art form. The exhibition can be viewed from September 14th-January 3rd www.mcny.com

Band-Aids Never Looked So Good...

Photos courtesy of: cynthiarowley.com

Cynthia Rowley is taking her fashion designing to a whole new level! Now with pretty, chic, and fun Band-Aids, any fashionista can cover up in style! I actually noticed these cutie's in the New York Times Style Section 2 weeks ago and I'm not lying...I wished I had had a boo boo to cover up! Other than the adorable prints,  to top it off "one dollar from the sale of each tin will go to Design Ignites Change, an organization that engages high school and college students in design and architecture projects that address social issues in their own communities" (cynthiarowley.com).  Anything involving fashion and giving back to your community is such a good reason to make you smile and feel better.

Thank god these are just in time for Fashion Week! ;) CAN NOT EVEN WAIT!
So...even though you may be hurting underneath this little beauty, at least your heart will feel good knowing you are giving back.
